High Calories

Although the pea milk taste good I'm really concerned about the calories. I'm trying to lose weight & it said there were 133 calories in it. That's a lot for just one cup. I may not be able to drink it now or re order. The last thing I need is to put on more weight!!!

Better than almond milk

My latest doctor check up got me on a diet to postpone taking prescription for high blood glucose and cholesterol. I replace dairy milk with pea milk for breakfast. Yes, it’s not creamy and smooth like whole milk, but dude, what do you expect? You gotta compare apples to apples. To me, it tastes much better than almond milk, and with more protein. After trials and errors, my favorite way to prepare it: mix with 1 cup of hot water, the full two heaping scoops plus some more (I like it creamy). I like sipping on steaming hot beverages foryy breakfast. Give it a try if you’re looking to improve your health. Be realistic. Don’t buy it thinking it’ll taste like yummy whole milk but with no cholesterol LOL

The flavor alone will take some getting used to, but it is a good alternative.

I wanted to try this as I usually drink or use alternative milks in recipes. I did not enjoy the flavor at first try. It tasted "green" to me. Subsequent sips got a little better, and after it sat in the refrigerator awhile it tasted tolerable, although I do not think I will be drinking a glass of this any time soon! It mixed better than I thought it would. It separates in the refrigerator, but a quick shake fixes that. So, I did try it with instant oatmeal, instead of using water, and ya know what!? It wasn't bad at all. The flavor blended in fairly well! I felt good about being able to eat an even more healthy oatmeal breakfast. (I mixed it with strawberries, blueberries, bananas, pecans, sweetener, and cinnamon.) Whether I like the taste of it or not I gave it 5 stars becasue it does what it is supposed to do, replaces dairy and nut milk. I don't have to like the way it tastes to know that it can be of benefit to people who can benefit by it.
