Rice Chocolate Porridge

  • 1 cup rice (preferably short-grain)
  • 4 cups Folona Pea Milk powder
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar (adjust according to your sweetness preference)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: sliced bananas, berries, chopped nuts


  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and Folona Pea Milk.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Add this mixture to the simmering rice and Folona Pea Milk. Stir well to combine.
  5. Continue to simmer the mixture for an additional 5-10 minutes until it thickens to your desired consistency. Adjust sweetness if needed.
  6. Once the porridge is ready, remove it from heat and let it sit for a few minutes to cool slightly.
  7. Serve the rice chocolate porridge in bowls and top with sliced bananas, berries, or chopped nuts for added texture and flavor.
